  • Class Program

    In the form of utilizing Accelerated Reader (AR) as part of the English curriculum, points obtained by reading books are reflected in the performance evaluation or a reading certification system is implemented to reflect them in the student record.

  • Afterschool Program

    After school program is conducted as children read books with their teachers and take AR quizzes in the school library.

  • Club/Special Activity

    Reading clubs are run for students interested in English reading. As part of in-depth reading activities, book reports are written or used in connection with school competitions.

  • Operating an English library within the academy

    Based on the results of Star Reading, students borrow and read a set number of books from the English Library every week. Students are also encouraged to take AR quizzes at home so they can foster independent English reading habits.

  • Professioinal English Library

    Through Star Reading, the reading level is regularly diagnosed, and parent counseling is conducted. Children visit the library and read. After reading, students participate in activities such as writing book reports and story-telling. In addition, students check their comprehension of the books read through AR quizzes, and depending on the points they have received, certificates and recognitions are awarded.

  • extensive reading through e-library

    Institutions that do not have a library can read with e-books through myON. Students can develop their reading skills by extensive reading as well as taking simple book quizzes offered on myON. If the institution uses both AR and myON, students can read on myON, and take AR quizzes to check for comprehension more thoroughly.

  English Kindergarten Using Star Early Literacy for young,
  beginning learners of English!

  • Implementing English Books in Class

    Classes are conducted by a teacher reading aloud a book for an emergent reader, who are yet an independent reader. Star Early Literacy and Star Reading are implemented to improve basic reading ability and to check for the development trend of the reading level. Students are also evaluated on their comprehension through voice-recorded AR quizzes.
