Poly’s enjoyable education starts with reading. Source of enjoyable education is created through a vast library and meticulous reading instruction based on Renaissance programs.
Poly focuses on English reading. This is because it is more important than anything else to learn naturally through “English" than learning "English." Children who have English reading habits are definitely different.
Basically, not only concentration but also vocabulary, comprehension, and reading comprehension are very high. These children also stand out in discussion and essay writing as they reach higher grades.
This is because they have solid logic and analysis skills with various indirect experiences and background knowledge through reading.
If students don’t have a standard for reading books, they read books that are too easy or difficult, and eventually, it is difficult to read properly. But through the Renaissance program, we can accurately identify the individual level of students, which gives them a good starting point for reading English. Children read their own books within the appropriate range, and they feel interested and enjoy reading in English, which naturally leads to the formation of proper reading habits.
In order to create the right English reading habits for our children who will be on the global stage, we have not only provided the best English library in the country, but also introduced the Renaissance programs from the start of Poly’s establishment.

Korea Poly School
We have a high level of parental satisfaction when we consult with a standardized level that are compared to the students in the U.S. Systematic management using the Renaissance reports is also an advantage.
The previous program we used did not accurately diagnose our students. However, after introducing the Renaissance Learning program, the accuracy of the evaluation has improved. There were so many book quizzes available that I was able to use the books that I already had and implement the program right away.

Seogang SLP Yeongdeungpo Language School
We are receiving positive feedback from students’ English improvement as well as high parental satisfaction by incorporating it into the in-house curriculum.
Students are more interested in reading than before the introduction of the program. Parents and principals responded well because they set the basics of reading through the formation of reading habits. I don’t think there’s any program yet to follow the number of book quizzes and the feedback system provided by Renaissance Learning.

I think it’s important to read a book that fits the level accurately and properly. I read more than 2,500 books because my child was so into reading and acquiring points.
The STAR Reading data itself is really good because it is based on the US students’ standard. The report gives you a quick idea of what grade my child is in. In particular, the reading level (G.E. Index) in the report and the recommended reading range plays a key role in balanced reading.
Solving AR quizzes and accumulating points is a simple act, yet immensely enjoyed by kids. Long books are good for children to be immersed in reading for a long time and develop patience, and short books are good for developing concentration. Reading systematically according to the level, I was able to see my child’s level steadily going up. It was less than 2 points, but now it’s up to 6.5. Last time, I even witnessed my child reading the Diary of the Wimpy Kid, then drawing and writing an English diary independently. Through Renaissance Learning’s programs, I would like to see my child read more than those of the Ivy League students, and just as the reading level rises, see my child further his horizons out into the world.
Kang Min Kyu (Grade 3)
After three years of entrusting and using Renaissance, my child’s English has risen significantly from first grade to fifth grade U.S level.
I think there is no program as good as Accelerated Reader (AR) to improve English skills. Three years of entrusting and using it, my child’s English has risen significantly from Grade 1, US elementary school standard, to Grade 5 standard. People around me envy alot.
Song Si On (Grade 4)
Sonng Eun Pyo (Grade 2)
I think a decisive reason why a child doesn’t like reading English books is because either it’s not fun or the book doesn’t fit his level.
When a child can enjoy and comfortably read a book that suits his or her skills, his or her English skills seem to improve. In that sense, the Renaissance program seems to be optimized for children’s reading activities. After using it steadily for 6 years, my child’s overall English skills have become stronger.
